Rev. R. Steven Reneau

Pastor

He is a native of Wetumpka, Alabama, and a graduate from Birmingham-Southern College studying both Religion and Philosophy. He received his Master of Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He is an ordained Elder in Alabama-West Florida Conference. His wife, Olivia L. Poole-Reneau, is a graduate from Auburn University and Emory University. She is an ordained Elder in the Alabama-West Florida Conference, and serves Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Smiths Station.


Rev. Lucas S. Tribble

Associate Pastor

Lucas is a native of Montgomery, AL where he grew up at Aldersgate UMC and graduated from LAMP High School in 2012. In May of 2016, Lucas graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor's in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He was licensed as a Licensed Local Pastor and appointed as an Associate Pastor at both our church and Mount Zion UMC in Smiths Station at the 2016 Annual Conference. His ministries of emphasis here at Trinity are College and Young Adults as well as Local Missions. He is currently a student at Emory University's Candler School of Theology where he is working on his Master of Divinity. He is on track to be an Ordained Elder in our Annual Conference. While growing up playing baseball, basketball, and football, Lucas became a humongous sports fan. He obsessively follows Auburn Athletics, as well as the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, and Dallas Mavericks.


Rev. Charles M. Langford

Retired Pastor

Born in Dale County, Alabama in 1930, Charles Langford was licensed to preach by the Dothan District on March 8th, 1949. On June 1st, 1952, Bishop Clare Purcell appointed him to his first charge in Brewton, Alabama. On March 27th, 1952 he married Carolyn Foster of Brewton. Their children are Marcia Moss and Rod, Joel Langford and Sheila, and have four grandchildren. Charles and Carolyn have served 13 appointments, including Trinity United Methodist Church from 1988-1991. They retired with 41 years of service to the United Methodist Church in June of 1993, and moved back to Phenix City, Alabama, where Charles became the part-time, retired clergy for pastoral care. 

Vicki Borders

Church Secretary

Vicki Harper Borders is a native of Phenix City and a graduate of Central High School. She is a retired school teacher from the Phenix City Board of Education. Marrying her High School sweetheart, she was blessed to share 38 years of marriage with her “true love” Al Borders. Blessed with one daughter Valerie Borders and three grandchildren, Vicki lives a very active life filled with serving God, working out at Curves Fitness, walking, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Karen Jones

Director of Children's Ministries

A native of Phenix City, Alabama and a graduate of Auburn University and Troy State University. She received a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from Auburn University in Elementary Education and earned her specialist degree from Troy State University in Phenix City, Alabama. She is currently an elementary school teacher at North Columbus Elementary School in Columbus, Georgia. Karen has been an educator for 36 years. Karen and her family have been members of Trinity United Methodist Church for three generations. She has been a member of the adult choir for many years, has worked with the children at the church for 26 years, directs the children's choir, and leads the children's ministry. She is devoted to her husband of 36 years, Mr. David Jones. She is the mother of two children: Ryan Jones and Haley Caro and is a loving grandmother. Karen is a strong leader with a passion to inspire children through Christ.


Sydney Caldwell

Choir Director and Organist

The daughter of United Methodist minister, Dr. James Sidney Lock and Jo Thornton Lock. She was born in Dothan, Alabama, and gradated from Andalusia High School. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Mental Retardation from the University of Alabama, Master of Education in Learning Disabilities from Auburn University, a Master of Education in School Counseling from Troy University, and an Educational Specialist's degree in School Counseling from Troy University. She retired in 2013 after a 39 year career in education in Phenix City, Alabama and Harris County, Georgia. She is married to Bill Caldwell and has three children: Matt, daughters Sydney and Reeve; Marc, wife Liz, and daughters Grace and Emma Kate; Elizabeth, husband Jeff, and new baby due in September 2014. She has been the organist at Trinity since 1992 and Chancel Choir Director since 2013.


LeighAnn DiCesaris

Director of Youth Ministries

A native of Franklin, AL.  She has her BA in Biology with a minor in Religion from Huntingdon College as well as her MPA from Troy University in Nonprofit Management. She served Trinity as Youth Director from 2011 to 2013 and is thrilled to join our church family once again! LeighAnn has served as a church and youth leader in many capacities since 2006. She is married to the gentle giant Leo, who owns a family pizza restaurant called Cerrones located in North Columbus.
